This feature is designed to look at the composition of a single outstanding photograph. I posted up a topic in Thumbshare, and I thank all of you for submitting your wonderful art; it was a pleasure to look at. Before I start to ramble, let's get to the art itself.
The piece we're looking at today is eisberg's En El Mar II.
The first thing that immediately jumps out to me about this photo is the birds. Birds are, by nature, quick and like to move out of an "ideal" shot; eisberg, on the other hand, has managed to both capture them and include them in his composition, which is a plus. Also, the picture has "3-D" lines of motion. It gives it the appearance of more depth than a flat image actually can have. It has the birds moving away from the camera, the person moving towards it, and the sea moving both to the right and towards the camera. The different directions all create a perspective. Also, the background is like a frame for the rest of the picture, with the clouds firmly dominating their territory, ensuring there is no wasted space. The shells on the beach contrasted with the smooth wet sand make for a nice touch.
So, that's...it. I hope you enjoyed the art, make sure to check it out and give eisberg lots of 's!

Wow.
It's been a *cough* long time since I gave any serious attention to this site, hasn't it? Heh, ZuneBoards now owns >90% of my online time. For that matter, I don't think I've even taken any worthwhile pictures or written anything particularly good since September. Heh heh heh..
It was a dark and stormy night...
And once again, beatiful photography strikes. Today's compositional merit feature is on something I don't oft explore: the realm of low-quality shots.

Usually when I see a grainy low quality shot that looks like someone used a webcam to take it, I run away screaming. Not so this time. What some photographers don't realize is that crystal clarity is only one of the techniques that can be used. It is often, but not always the best choice. This shot worked. It gives it the sense of an impressionist painting, like a fusion of Monet and Degas, who were known for stunning color choice and almost p

Original post:
Little Nooblets. people just fry them up in a nice tempura batter and eat like that.
And here's my reply:
I don't personally agree with that, that's disgusting; n00blets need special preparation before they become edible, and may even be harmful if not cooked correctly. They need to be pre-seared before going into a deep fryer to ensure proper juice flow and to allow all toxins to be release. The grease must also be handled carefully to avoid potentially
I got featured!
My first feature, ever! Kinda old news actually, but I have a right to be excited about it whenever I want to!

It's a little hard to find-it took me 10, yes, ten lookthroughs to find it-but it's this one.
